I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but here in N. KY, where I reside, it's so cold. So OK, it's winter and it's cold out, but lets make it "Time for Butterflies" and what better way to do that than to use Velvet Glitter. This card uses an outline sticker and the gorgeous, buttery soft Velvet Glitters. I love these glitters!!!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop Fabulous Folds

Hi Everyone,
If you arrived here by way of Marie's blog, then you are at the right place. But if not, and you want to be eligible for great prizes, then click here to start from the beginning.WOW, by now you are you getting inspired, are you having fun. Fabulous Folds!! What a great theme for our first blog hop for 2013.

Prizes will be awarded, so don't forget to leave comments on everyone's blog, 'cause that's how you become eligible for the prizes that are to be given away.  This is a 4 day blog hop so you'll have plenty of time to view all the projects and leave comments. The prizes are stamp sets, flocking, glitter embossing powders, etc.BTW, there are 3 designers who've been designated to have prizes "hidden" on their blogs, so comments are important and we LOVE getting comments. They really make our day.

I am so excited to show you my project for this hop. Since the theme is Fabulous Folds, my project definitely takes advantage of that theme. With folds in mind, I decided to make a Book Card. This project has a lot of folds, so it fits perfectly in with this theme. Accordion folds become the frame of the book  From a side view it looks like pages of a book don't you think This looks so difficult but is really quite easy.Once the frame is made everything else falls right into place. I have written up directions and  I've even added pictures to help guide you along. Click here to check out the directions.

Inside the book where the text would be

Open completely

Close up of those folds - inside

This is such a fun project to do and the images that I used are digital images from Sparkle N Sprinkle. They have a great array of "digi's" and I love having the flexibility of changing the size etc of the image when you use a "digi". And digital images are really reasonably priced, for those of us on a tight budget.

Hello My Friend

Hi Everyone,
Boy is it gloomy and rainy here. Well it's 59° outside right now but the temperature is expected to fall. I have just received 4 fabulous new sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Since it's so gloomy here(and maybe where you are too), I thought this card might cheer you up. Spring will be here in a few short months.I can't believe we are getting ready to hit the midway point for January already, where does the time go.

Here is one of the brand new stamp set, set 482 - Just Froggy.

Stamp Set 482 - Just Froggy

Isn't this new set really nice! I really like the gorgeous flower with that cute frog, and this set has home great sayings as well.

Here is my card design using stamps from this set.

I started out thinking that I was going to use green and mauve papers/card stock on this card, but, I pulled out a blank white card to do some sizing and then the flower just popped off the page so to speak. So I decided the white was the best choice. I added some glittery swirls for added pizazz, made a bow and added that little sentiment on a smaller tag. The background is embossed from a Spellbinders M-bossibilities folder. Love that embossing folder.

Products I used:
Flower with Frog – Set 482
Hello My Friend  - Set 482
Parisian Mist Glitter - G1037
Spellbinders M-Bossibilities  - EL009 (Flora)
Brushable Glue
¼” Tearific Tape
Copic Markers -  (YG45, YG41, YG06, YG03, Y21,Y11,R85, R81, V01, 0)
Inks - Memento Ink - Cottage Ivy, Black Tuxedo
Cardstock/Paper: White CS, Green CS
White Ribbon
Swirl Die
Tag Die
Bow maker - Craft-Dee BowZ

Try to stay dry if it's raining in your area.

Another Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Hi Everyone,

On my last post, I believe I mentioned that the Sparkle N Sprinkle Designers project for December was scrapbook layouts. My last post showed the cute whimsical layout I made using my cats as the subject. This layout utilized pic's of friends on Christmas Eve. I went to Robin's house for Christmas Eve, as I do every year, and she always decorates to the hilt! Her home is always in perfect order. Her trees are always perfectly decorated and I thought that would be my inspiration for this layout, the guests at her party. I took a few pictures of Robin and some of the others at her Christmas Eve get together and that got me started.

In planning this layout,  I picked out a beautiful gold/yellow scrapbook page and decided to make a fir tree stamping a pine sprig to resemble a pine tree.Next I used holly dies to add a border on the right edge. Then  came the poinsettias and the punched border. Lastly I added pictures and letters that I glittered.

Click here for complete directions and a product list.

This was a fun project and I will be doing more layouts, I'm sure.

I am submitting this in the following challenges:
Sparkles Forum Challenge - Anything Goes
Christmas at Sweet Stampin - Anything Christmas Goes
Crafty Creations Challenges - Anything Goes #203
Inky Impressions - Anything Goes
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping in, have a great day.

Christmas Scrapbook Page

Hi Everyone,

Can you believe it, two posts in a week. I am rocking. This is one of the many projects that I completed while I was on my self imposed hiatus.

For the month of December over at Sparkle N Sprinkle our project themes were scrapbook layouts. Well I have no human kids so I find it very hard to do scrapbook layouts.  As I wracked my brain, I found some beautiful scrapbook paper and that helped me over the first hurdle. And of course I had to call on my 4 legged kids for inspiration. You probably will recall the pic's I've used below were in an earlier post, but I thought you'd like to see the layout as well.

These guys were so patient with me as I donned the cute hat and beard and the antlers. They just sat there as I posed them and I shot many many pic's. It was truly amazing, if I say so myself, that they didn't bolt and run and hide. But they didn't.

OK back to this layout..... This page was so cool and I loved all the pre-printed elements on the page so I just got my glue pen out and traced and added glitter.I just had to add the stamped sentiment and the cute Christmas Kitty to tie everything together.  Lastly I added some journaling and that finished the page.

This turned out so darned cute!!  I will be back in a couple of days with the other scrapbook page layout that I turned in.

Products I used:
Sparkle N Sprinkle Glitters
Fire Engine Red - G1007
Elegant Emerald - G1011
Blue Lightening - G1008
Fantasy Gold - G1001
Sparkle N Sprinkle Stamps
Purr-fect Holiday  1387-288A
Christmas Kitty - 1381-288G

Thanks for stopping in today and I will see you soon

Time to Think of Valentines

Hi Everyone
Happy New Year Everyone!!! Boy it's been a while since I've posted. I am sorry to have been gone so long. However I was busy behind the scenes with Christmas and getting my class submissions designed and ready  for consideration for the Stampaway convention in August in Cincinnati, Ohio. The submissions are due within a week.I am almost ready.

I am one of the new Design Team members over at Craft-Dee BowZ. I am so excited to be on the team, spotlighting bows, using their easy to use bow maker. If you are a challenged bow maker, this tool is definitely a must have for you. This tool is easy to use and super portable so you can take it to crops, club meetings..... just anywhere. You will become the bow queen when you use the bow maker.

Well for my post today, I wanted to add a bow to something other than a card. Since Valentines Day will be the next gift giving event, I decided to get a box ready for a gift. The bow I used is a multi-loop bow (my favorite type of bow).

I just love working with a wired ribbon, it makes your bows look professional!!! I get tons of compliments from all my friends about my bows. They are truly amazed and I keep telling them how easy these are to make using the tool. The gift box I chose to use is a pillow box and I added a punched belly band. Over the belly band I added ribbon down the center and placed my bow in the middle.

Purchase a bow maker and you will be amazed at the look of your bows. I am sure you will be a great bow maker.Click here to make a purchase.

Thanks for stopping in today, see you soon!!
